Distribution
Create shareable links, set quotas, and manage how participants access your interviews.
Distribution Links
Once your study is published, you create distribution links to share with participants. Each link is a unique URL that participants visit to start their interview. You can create multiple links per study with different settings.
Distribution links look like: fyreside.chat/join/your-study-slug
Link Settings
Link Name
A label for your reference (e.g., 'Email campaign', 'Social media'). Not visible to participants.
Response Quota
Maximum number of completed interviews for this link. Set to unlimited or cap at a specific number (up to 200 per link). Once the quota is reached, new participants see a 'quota full' message.
Interview Type
Test or Live. Test interviews don't count toward your quota and are for internal previewing. Live interviews are the real thing.
Completion Redirect
Optional URL where participants are sent after completing the interview. Useful for redirecting back to your product or a thank-you page.
Quota Full Redirect
Optional URL shown when the link's response limit is reached. Send overflow participants to a waitlist or alternative page.
Multiple Links Per Study
You can create as many distribution links as you need for a single study. This is useful for:
- Channel tracking — different links for email, social, in-product, etc. to see which channels drive the most responses
- Quota management — separate caps for different audiences or cohorts
- A/B testing — same study, different participant pools
Study Lifecycle
Distribution links are tied to your study's status:
- Draft — links can be created but only work for test interviews
- Live — all links are active, participants can complete interviews
- Paused — links show a "study paused" message; no new interviews
- Closed — links show a "study ended" message; study is archived
